21-year-old dies in fatal rope-jumping incident in Brazil
Maria Eduarda Rodrigues de Freitas, aged 21 years, has unfortunately passed away following a rope jumping incident in Sao Paolo, Brazil, where she was thrown from an abandoned bridge without having her safety cord attached. Video recordings posted on social media show that she was carried by three instructors to the edge of the abandoned bridge known as "The Skeleton Bridge," where she was thrown down into the abyss, falling a distance of 40 meters (130 feet) and dying in the process. Three men have been arrested, and an investigation is under way against them for murder with eventual intent.
